For four decades Phil has been involved in communications and marketing. Trained as a broadcast journalist at Southern Illinois University (Edwardsville) and Michigan State University, Phil worked at numerous radio and TV stations in all departments except Engineering and Accounting. That base, plus post graduate training at MSU in marketing set up his work with Zondervan where he started the marketing department for both Family Christian Stores and Zondervan books. In 1997 he started the predecessor to Grace and has worked with the vision-casting, branding, media planning, and creative direction for scores of publishers, non-profits, and churches.
Robin has been a market research/marketing professional for 35 years working with both syndicated and custom research for top consumer packaged goods companies including Procter & Gamble, Mead Johnson, and Frito Lay. He has also worked with the development of business intelligence reporting systems and for major industry suppliers IRI (Information Resources, Inc.) and Catalina Marketing. He has experience with Christian and not/profit organizations (such as Willow Creek Association and individual churches) and their specific research needs.
